Last year we launched a large designer challenge "In Your Gene's" in partnership with a global leader in sustainable beauty products and practices: AVEDA and a global charity: WaterAid Canada who’s mission is to provide clean safe water around the world. The event was: Catwalk For Water held in May 2016, we challenged 25 amazing Canadian designers to create a couture look out of 1000 pounds of recycled jeans. The prizes for the challenge; Mont Pellier developed eco-friendly capsule collections. Our judges included esteemed Canadian designers such as Greta Constantine and Lisa Corbo and the International designer Deborah Milner. The show resulted in Wore recruiting the top four designers into our production partnership program and additionally raised $28,600 for WaterAid Canada.
